Nose Reshaping

Nose reshaping is a procedure intended for adults who wish to reshape the structure of their nose to better suite their appearance. This may involve changes such as reducing its size, correcting the nostrils, reshaping it or fixing injury.

It is important to let your surgeon know if you have difficulty breathing through your nose, suffer from related allergies, or often use nasal spray. Surgery will be customized based on the quality of your skin as well as the size and shape of your nose. You surgeon may recommend chin reshaping to improve on your facial balance. This procedure can be undertaken concurrently.

In most cases, all incisions will be made inside your nose and will be invisible. If any are needed outside, they will be hidden by the natural crease between your nose and cheek. Sometimes an incision is made on the skin between the nostrils, but it too will be inconspicuous. Your surgeon will alter the framework of your nose to achieve the desired results, aiming for a natural look that blends with your other features.

Complications such as Hematoma, infection or reactions to anesthesia are infrequent, and any numbness afterwards is possible but usually temporary. To reduce swelling and minor bleeding, sleep with your head elevated. Bruising is possible, but will mostly subside after a few days, and you may begin to use makeup. Most swelling will disappear in several weeks, and minor swelling should not be noticeable to others. Any stitches used may be removed three to seven days after surgery. Additional touch-ups are available if desired.
